April 2004

Friday, April 9--General membership meeting. 11 a.m., Phi Theta Kappa Lounge, A300. All current members are invited to come! Click here for the meeting's agenda.
 
Tuesday, April 13--Student Government "Expo." Stop by the Alpha Sigma Zeta information table! The event runs from 11-1 p.m. in the Gordon Student Center.
 
*Friday, April 23--2004-2005 Officer election meeting. 11 a.m., Phi Theta Kappa lounge. If you're interested in running for one of the five officer positions, then stop by Academic Affairs on the second floor of the Academic One building to pick up the form, or attend our April 9 meeting. The five positions up for election are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian.
 
April/May--"Project Graduation". Members will be collecting food and children's books and various places throughout campus and in the community. Karin Howe is in charge of the food collection and Chantell Sparkes will be in charge of books.

Saturday, May 15--Onondaga Community College's 41st Commencement Ceremony. Onondaga County War Memorial, 3 p.m. (graduates should arrive no later than 2 p.m.). PTK members are entitled to wear a PTK Gold tassle (no charge) and/or special stole ($16). Both are available in the Office of Student Life.
 
Monday, May 24--Member training. Phi Theta Kappa Lounge, Room A300, 11 a.m. The chapter will be hosting a training session for officers and members who'd like to be involved with Alpha Sigma Zeta in the coming fall. New members and officers will learn about Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Sigma Zeta, coordinating chapter projects, working with members of the college and community, and regional Phi Theta Kappa events. No need to RSVP, but if possible, let us know you're coming so we'll know how much food to bring.
